Local walks, food, and stories from everyday Hiroshima
Our Story
Thomas moved to Hiroshima eight years ago, drawn not only to the charm of the city but also to Yuka, the woman who would become his wife. Their story began in the simplest of ways at a 7-Eleven, where Yuka won a loaf of bread in a small lottery. She didn’t need it, so she gave it to Thomas, and from that small act of kindness, their journey together began.

They later married in a bakery on Hiroshima’s main street, a place they still visit often because it holds a special place in their hearts. Today, they share their love for Hiroshima with others, showing the city through the eyes of two people who call it home.

Why we started these tours
After living in Hiroshima for several years with my wife, I decided to start these tours to share the city beyond the typical tourist route.

The focus is on walking, local food, and stories from people who live here, including my wife’s family. The tours move at a comfortable pace and are shaped by our own daily experience of the city.

Why walking tours
Walking allows time to notice small details, talk, and experience the city naturally. It’s how we explore Hiroshima ourselves, and how we prefer to share it.
